Trip to Dendera and the Temple of Cleopatra from Hurghada
The Dendera Temple is located in Qena City on the western bank of the Nile. Covering an area of approximately 40,000 square meters, it dates back to the Greco-Roman era. Construction of the temple took nearly 200 years, which is why it is commonly known as the Temple of Cleopatra.
The temple is remarkably well preserved and is famous for having some of the best-preserved ceiling colors in Egypt. The upper floor contains unique chambers, including a room that depicts the full story of the gods Osiris and Set, considered the first murder in the history of the gods.
The original zodiac of the Dendera Temple was the first of its kind. The original piece, made of gold, is now displayed in France. The temple is also renowned for its detailed hieroglyphic texts and exquisite reliefs, as well as the impressive style of the pillars in the hypostyle hall.

Deir el-Medina, Valley of the Artisans
When most people think of Luxor’s West Bank, images of the Valley of the Kings or grand pharaohs’ temples come to mind. Yet, tucked away from these monumental sites is Deir el-Medina—a village with a far more personal story. This was home to the artisans who built Egypt’s famous tombs. Known in ancient times as Set-Maat, or “The Place of Truth,” Deir el-Medina offers a rare window into the daily lives of the ordinary Egyptians behind extraordinary creations.
Unlike the massive temples designed to awe, Deir el-Medina tells the story of the people themselves—their homes, their work, their families, and even their struggles. Exploring its ruins today is like stepping back into a community that thrived over 3,000 years ago.
